Internally, the EMB8 utilises our famous “Energy Multiplying Bandpass” technology to obtain high output and low distortion from a very compact enclosure. Inside, the cabinet features a specially designed 6.5″ woofer and a pneumatically phase coupled 8″ passive radiator, both with aluminium cones and rubber surrounds. The EMB8 subwoofer has been tuned to perform beyond 35Hz, (where the predominant recorded bass frequencies tend to occur) all the way down to 28Hz! Because it is a high power handling passive subwoofer, we recommend pairing it with our M1000 class D amplifier which provides 1000 watts of clean power and features a full DSP digital processor. You can power a total of two EMB8 subwoofers with a single M1000 amplifier.
