Internally, the EMB8DF utilises our famous “Energy Multiplying Bandpass” technology to obtain high output and low distortion from a very compact enclosure. Inside, the cabinet features a patented 6.5″ woofer and a pneumatically phase coupled 8″ passive radiator, both with aluminium cones and rubber surrounds. The EMB8DF subwoofer has been tuned to perform all the way down to an impressive 28 Hz! Because it is a high power handling passive subwoofer, we recommend pairing it with our M1000 class D amplifier which provides 1000 watts of clean power and features a full DSP digital processor. The 8-ohm impedance allows a total of two EMB8DF subwoofers to be powered with a single M1000 amplifier. For outdoor/marine applications, order the EMB8DFM. 70 Volt outdoor/marine version is also available as a EMB8DFM70.
